This sleek, compact, and striking machine, designed by Milan-based company Deep Design combines the brand's retro aesthetic with the latest technology. It takes care of every step of the coffee-making process, from grinding beans and tamping them into a puck to texturing milk and dispensing the correct volume - so you can create barista-quality hot beverages with the click of a button.
The machine also sports a stylish brushed aluminium front and is available in a variety of red, black or taupe, so it's a great fit for the majority of kitchen designs. There were numerous glowing reviews about the machine's ease of use and the quality of its coffee. The intuitive digital display provides step-by-step guidance and feedback throughout the making process, allowing you to improve your coffee every time. This model is perfect for those who enjoy milky drinks. The steam wand is adjustable to the right and left to fit most drinking vessels, with the exception of Viking drinking horns. We were also amazed by the speed and efficiency with which the frothing was done. It makes a delicious, full-flavoured espresso with a fantastic crema.
The BCC02 is a great all-rounder that's quiet, efficient and provides excellent value for money at its current price of PS499. The only drawback is the fact that it doesn't offer the same level of customization as other bean-to-cups we've tried. It comes with a 15 bar pump rather than the more typical 19 bars which isn't as effective to make high-quality espressos. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart is a superb bean-to-cup machine with many features that set it apart from the rest. The most distinctive feature could be the fact that it can be controlled by your smartphone with the Melitta Connect App. This lets you change the settings and dispense various coffee recipes stored inside the machine.
This makes the machine extremely flexible and able to adapt to your preferences. There are a variety of options to alter the intensity of your beverage, cup sizes and even if you would like milk to be added. The machine has two airtight containers of beans that are automatically chosen to match different types of drinks. The machine will default to using standard espresso beans and cafe creme, which is a German variant of flat white or long black. However, you can select any beans you'd like. There's also a handy chute for pre-ground coffee in case you'd like to use your own (for instance, if that pesky dinner guest brings their own).
Users have also been impressed with the speed of the machine. It is more efficient than other machine they've used. Another benefit is that the machine will warn you when one of its hoppers is about to be empty, so that you aren't caught running out of your favorite drink.
The price may be a problem for some. The machine is priced at PS999. But, it's cheaper than comparable Jura machines with the same number of features.
